Port Blair, Jan 11: Armed Forces Veterans Day Celebrations is being organised on 14th January 2021 at Birchgunj Military Station from 0800 hrs to 1300 hrs by Army Component under the aegis of the HQ ANC. A wreath laying ceremony followed by an interactive meeting is planned to update and brief the Veterans of recent initiatives.
Help desks with representatives from Army, Navy, Air Force Components and Ex-servicemen Contributory Health Scheme (ECHS) will be present to resolve issues pertaining to pensions, ECHS and other support facilities. Shuttle bus service will be available from Mohanpura bus stand and Bathu Basti bus stand to Birchgunj Military Station at 0800 hrs and back at 1300 hrs.
All Ex-servicemen and Armed Forces widows have been requested to attend the function.
