Kalighat, Oct. 8: On the intervening night of 7th and 8th Oct. 2012, a Bar situated at Kalighat, North Andaman named BRB bar was raided by the SHO PS Kalighat, Ms. Shabana Haneef and team upon receiving information that the bar was selling liquor in retail.
According to information received, the raid started at around 9.00 pm and continued till 2.30 am and property worth more than Rs. 2 Lakhs were seized on the spot. Sources also inform that as many as 1600 bottles of IMFL was recovered from the Bar.
The raid was planned by the police after receiving insights from reliable sources and the police had planted a decoy to track the illegal activity.
