Port Blair, April 2: The Principal of Vivekananda Kendriya Vidyalaya, Port Blair Mr. Vijay Kumar has been arrested today and sent to Judicial Custody after the Hon’ble Court of CJM passed an order today.

The arrest of the Principal was made in the case of Suicide by a student of Class IX of the school on 12.11.2008. The student Late Hema Shivani had committed suicide by immolating herself, reasons being torture and insult she had to undergo by the school management. Hema Shivani, D/o Mr. Nageshwar Rao was shifted to Chennai immediately where she had breathed her last.
