Port Blair, April 26: The stage is set to launch an new regional party in the name and style of ‘Jan Kranti Party’. The party will be led by the President Shri Prakash Minj, who recently resigned from the post of Secretary cum Treasurer of the Ranchi Association, A&N Islands.

Speaking to Andaman Chronicle, Minj said that he has full support of the Ranch Association and also support from various communities residing in the islands. He said that the reason for forming this party is because the social economic and cultural atmosphere have been totally vitiated by all political parties in the islands. Corruption has become the order of the day and there is no political probity in A&N Islands. The existing political parties have miserably failed to fulfil the promises they made in their election manifestos.

“In order to cleanse the islands of all the above miasma, we have decided to launch a regional party on 27th April 2013”, he said.

The first inaugural meeting of the Jan Kranti Party will be held on 27th April 2013 at Hotel ACC, Mohanpura and Minj expects a large gathering of supporters and well wishers.
