Port Blair, Feb 13: A 26 year old tourist named Vinit Sohan Papre, S/o Ashok Ch. Das today died at North Bay after drowning into the sea. The incident took place when a group of four tourists had gone Scuba Diving with a company called Dive Mantra and later on the deceased was found missing. His body was recovered later and brought to the GB Pant Hospital where he was declared brought dead.

Sources inform that the tourists had gone diving with the instructors and had completed his session. He had come back to the shore, where the scuba gears were removed and kept except for the wet suit. Sources further inform that the tourist after completing his dive had gone to the sea without the notice of the instructors. There were other tourists who had also seen the deceased come back to the shore after his dive session was over.

Meanwhile, a case has been registered at PS Bambooflat and the instructors of Dive Mantra have been detained. It is expected that a thorough investigation will be done in the case to find out the truth behind the death of the young tourist.
