Port Blair, Oct. 19: The Mahatma Gandhi International School, Port Blair today facilitated Master Aryan Balaji for achieving the record of becoming the youngest in Gandhi Global Family. The name very familiar and epitomized for his childhood heroism – Aryan is a grade 2 student of MGIS Port Blair. With this recognition, Master Aryan has not only made the school proud but also has made the islanders proud.

It was a befitting tribute to this young boy Aaryan to have been honoured with the Gandhi Seva Medal, gaining parallel with the likes of Lata Mangeshkar.

As a Pioneer initiative, the GGF (PB) along with Mahatma Gandhi International School have taken up the campaign to kick out Gutka, Drugs, Cigarettes, Tambakku from Port Blair particularly from the schools and Colleges. As a Pre-runner, a signature campaign is being planned for the first week of November and is aimed at drawing the attention of children and their parents to the perils of these adversaries.

The Chairman of Mahatma Gandhi International School, Shri Nalin Gulechha has appreciated Master Aaryan Balaji for the Service to the nation. He also requested the media, schools and colleges across Port Blair to help MGIS to make the campaign a success.
