Car Nicobar and Nancowry enter into Semi-finals

Car Nicobar, Oct. 14: The Car Nicobar and Nancowry teams entered into the semi-finals of the 15th President Cup under 17 Championship, being played here at Bishop John Richardson Stadium Car Nicobar.

The Car Nicobar team defeated Port Blair by 2-1 in its last league match today. The match ended with a nail biting finish. The Port Blair team was leading by 1 -0 in the first half, but the Car Nicobar team made a strong come back in the second half, scoring 2 goals. The Port Blair team made several attempts, but could not convert them into goals. Large number of people from the different villages, were present in the stadium to witness the match.

The next team to qualify for the semi final birth is Nancowry, which won its last league match against Wimberlygunj by 6-2.

In the third match played today, Rangat team defeated Diglipur by 3-1.
