Port Blair, Nov. 22: The Managing Director of AMWAY India Enterprises, Mr William S Pinckney, who was in port Blair in connection with Andaman Marathon, had met the press at Hotel Bay Island and spoke on the key strategic initiatives of the company introduced recently.  At the outset Mr Pinckney expressed happiness in being a sponsor partner of the Andaman Marathon for 2nd consecutive year.

Mr Pinckney speaking to media informed that Amway India recorded revenue of Rs 2130/- crores in 2011 growing at 19% over the previous fiscal. This is the fourth successive year that the company has registered double digit growth. The company’s focus over the past 3-4 years has been on improving consumer awareness and access which has paid off handsomely essentially as the quality of the Amway pick-up centres has undergone a sea change, and is more experiential for the consumer.

On the occasion, Mr. Pinckney also unveiled the complete line of skincare and colour cosmetics products under Attitude –the Indian skincare and cosmetic brand in premium category in the Andaman & Nicobar islands .

The entire skincare products basket under Attitude Brand is fortified with Triple Advance Complex that comprises OSMOGELINE red sea weed extract, vitamin A, C,  E  & Natural Fruit & Floral extracts like Aloe Vera, Avocado & Grape seed extracts, Mr Pinckney informed. He also said , “The beauty category is one of our fastest growing categories. The fast growing Rs. 7351 crore Indian beauty market has grown at 26% last year.The new brand identity for Attitude with complete line of skincare and colour cosmetics products reinforces our commitment to provide the highest product quality standards”.

Mr Diptarag Bhattacharjee, Vice President, Eastern Region, AMWAY India Enterprises who was also present on the occasion informed that the cluster of West Bengal, Andaman & Nicobar islands and Sikkim has been one of the high growth potential clusters for Amway India, has posted a robust growth in the first half of the year 2012. He informed that in Andaman Amway has seen a sales jump from 4 crores to 9 crores, which happen to be a growth of 44%.
