Port Blair, Aug 14: The Zonal Sports Meet for children with special needs for North & Middle Andaman was organized for the first time at Baratang Island by the Rotary Club of Port Blair in association with Govt. Sr. Sec. School, Oralkatcha on 10th August 2018. This was the first endevour for children with special needs on a zonal basis and the event saw great enthusiasm especially among the participants.
Parents, students and teachers present also participated in the event. The Principal, GSSS Oralkatcha, Smti MV Jolly was the chief guest. The Club President, Rtn. Rajesh Anand, Club Secretary, Rtn. B Dinesh Kumar and Past President, Rtn. Abhjit Agarwal addressed the gathering.
The opening ceremony was conducted by Shri Dinesh Singh of Fire Station, Baratang. Various events were organized with the efforts of Dr. Usha Rani, PET and Shri B Rajesh of GSSS Oralkatcha. Prizes and certificates were also awarded to the winners and participants.
