Port Blair, Sept 17: On 16th September 2018, Shri Bishnu Pada Ray, M.P. has laid the foundation stone for construction of Mini Indoor Sports Hall at Manarghat, South Andaman District at total estimated cost of Rs: 64,70,230/-under MPLAD fund. During the foundation stone laying ceremony, Shri Udit Prakash Rai, Deputy Commissioner, South Andaman District, Shri Mukesh Narwal, Prabhari, Andaman & Nicobar Kishan Morcha, Shri Jotirmoy Bhawali, President, Andaman & Nicobar Kishan Morcha, Er. M. Chozhi, Executive Engineer, RCD, Wimberlygunj, Shri O.Basheer, Pradhan, Manarghat Gram Panchayat, ,Smti Rupa Ray, wife of Shri Bishnu Pada Ray, M.P. and large numbers of prominent villagers of Manarghat Panchayat and other adjoining Panchayats were also present.
The villagers as well as the youth of the Manarghat Panchayat and the adjoining Panchayats have expressed their gratitude to the M.P. for extending his moral and financial support to establish the Mini Indoor Sports Hall and play ground within an area of 2.5 hectors land earmarked for this purpose.
