Strong Wind upto 80 Kmph With Very Rough Sea Predicted
Port Blair, Nov. 9: Yesterday's low pressure area over Gulf of Thailand and adjoining Malay Peninsula, now lies over central parts of Andaman Sea & neighbourhood and the associated cyclonic circulation extends upto mid tropospheric levels. It is very likely to become more marked during next 24 hours. It is very likely to move west-northwestwards, concentrate into a depression during subsequent 24 hours and into a cyclonic storm thereafter.
FORECAST:
Rain or thundershower (7 to 20 cm) likely at most places over Andaman & Nicobar Islands on 9th and 10th November 2018, which is likely to reduce to many places on 11th and Nov. 2018 and subsequently reduce to few places (7 to 11 cm) by 13th November.
Wind Warning Over Coastal Areas:
Strong wind speed of 30-40 kmph gusting to 50 kmph very likely over Andaman sea and along & off Andaman & Nicobar coast on 9th November which is likely to increase to a wind speed of 40-50 kmph gusting to 60 kmph very likely over Andaman sea , SE-Bay of Bengal, East Central Bay of Bengal and along & off Andaman & Nicobar coast on 11th and 12th November.
Strong wind speed of 60-70 kmph gusting to 80 kmph very likely over eastcentral Bay of Bengal and adjoining south & westcentral Bay of Bengal is predicted on 12th November.
Sea Condition:
The Sea conditions will be rough to very rough over Andaman sea, SE-Bay of Bengal, East Central Bay of Bengal and along & off Andaman & Nicobar coast during 09.11.18 to 11.11.18
