Port Blair, Nov. 13: The Hindu Seva Sangh (HSS) celebrated its first formation day on 11th November 2018 at Wimberlygunj. A huge gathering of around 500 members from different parts of Ferrargunj Tehsil attended the function. Bhajans were presented from the HSS members of Caddlegunj, Aniket, Kadakachang, Wimberlygunj, Lambapahar, Valluvarnagar & Bambooflat. Skit and dances were presented by the HSS children. The programmee began with the “Mantrocharan” by the students of Bal Sanskar Kaksha run by Hindu Seva Sangh.

Shri. Abhay Kumar deliberated on the objectives and achievements of Hindu Seva Sangh. Few major achievements in the last year by HSS -

• Hindu Seva Sangh started the Bal Sanskar Kaksha at Sri Radha Krishna Mandir, since 19/11/17 wherein more than 140 students from the nearby area attend the Sunday morning Kaksha.

• The sincere and persistent effort by Hindu Seva Sangh has materialized the construction of Zilla Parishad VKV School with the help of MP-LAD fund, under Shore Point Panchayat which was pending since 2002 after its foundation stone.

• The members of Hindu Seva Sangh actively participated in cleanliness drive and escorted pilgrims during the annual Pooja at Jirgatang Mandir, Panighat Mandir and Rath Yatra at Port Blair.

• A delegation from the Hindu Seva Sangh met Hon’ble Vice President of India, at Raj Nivas, Port Blair during his visit to these islands and handed over him a letter with charter of demands.

• A delegation of Hindu Seva Sangh also met Hon’ble Prime Minister of India at his office in New Delhi and handed over a letter with few demands for the benefit of Hindus and Islanders at large. 

Shri. Rajendra Kumar an active member of HSS delivered a key note on Santan Dharm. Programmee culminated with distribution of Prasad.
