Port Blair, Nov. 15: The staff of PS Central Crime Station under the supervision of Inspr. P. K. Abdul Arif, SHO, PS CCS, in its drive to wipe out the nuisance of illegal sale of liquor and bootlegging, carried out special raids in South Andaman area on 10/11/2018 & 11/11/2018 and recovered 63 bottles of Indian Made Foreign Liquors (IMFL). In this connection, altogether 12 persons namely Sarvesh Kumar R/o Pahargaon, S. Sekhar R/o Bathu Basti near Post Office, M. Murgeshan R/o Dairy Farm, Anbalagan Palaniswamy R/o Dollygunj, B. Kondhanda Rao R/o Junglighat, .Karna R/o Bathu Basti, S. Raja Gopal R/o Goalghar near Chirayu Child Care, G. Kumar R/o Nayagaon R. Murgeshan R/o Dairy Farm, Palaniappan R/o Junglighat Seashore, Himansu Sardar R/o Manjery and M. Yasuratnam R/o Babu Line were arrested and 12 cases under excise Regulations have been registered against them. Police will continue to fight against this menace to eradicate the illegal trade of illicit liquor and IMFL from this Union Territory.
