Port Blair, Feb 13: In order to eradicate the menace of illegal manufacture and sale of liquor from the society, the South Andaman District Police have been continuously making all possible efforts. During their relentless efforts in the month of February 2019, the South Andaman District Police have arrested 44 persons for manufacturing and sale of illicit liquor. The raiding teams have recovered huge quantity of illicit liquor i.e. 78 bottles of 750 ml, 22 bottles of 375 ml & 08 bottles of 180 ml and 28 Kg handia from the possession of the arrested persons.  

All the raids took place under the supervision of concerned SHOs and SDPOs of South Andaman District under overall supervision of Shri. Deepak Yadav, IPS. Superintendent of Police, South Andaman District.

The public is requested to share information about illegal brewing and sale of illicit liquor and narcotic drugs with Police so that such anti-social elements are brought to justice. The identity of the informant will be kept secret.
