Port Blair, Feb 13: A student hailing from Andaman & Nicobar Islands named Ramesh, a resident of Nayagaon was found dead in Tamil Nadu where he was undergoing his higher studies. Ramesh was a 2nd year Engineering student in Mount eon College in Pudukottai District of Tamil Nadu. His friends and parents strongly believe that he was mysteriously murdered for raising against the irregularities of the concerned authorities of the institution. Ramesh is said to have been physically attacked, killed and his body thrown on the railway track to make it a suicide case. The police did arrest the Hostel Warden on suspicion but was later released on bail. The people of the area had also protested against the College Authorities stating that it was a murder case and not suicide as has been projected by the police. The case is being heard in the Madurai High Court and the people of Andaman and family members do not have faith on the Tamil Nadu Police. They have thus demanded for a CBI enquiry into the incident.

In a letter to the Home Minister of India, Ministry of Home Affairs, the State Secretary (BJP) and National Council Member (BJYM), K Paramasivam has forwarded the demands of the family members and requested the Hon’ble Minister for initiating a CBI Enquiry in the case.
