Port Blair, Feb 15: Humane Touch in association with Divisional Forest Office, South Andaman organised an Alcoholism Awareness Progarm for the staffs of Divisional Forest Office, South Andaman at the conference hall of Forest Training Institute, Wimberly Gunj on 14th February 2019 at 11:00am.

Shri Murali Shankaar IFS, DFO South Andaman was the chief guest on this occasion. He highlighted the need of awareness on Alcoholism in the grassroots level. Shri Vipul Pandey IFS, presided the program as Guest of honour.

Dr. Mitesh Bihari, Psychiatrist, GB Pant hospital was the keynote speaker in this program. He emphasized the effects of alcohol in medical terms. He had an active interaction session with the audience and clarified their doubts.

N Abdul Aziz, ex president, Humane Touch placed some statistical data based on the random sampling conducted by Humane Touch in different pockets and also spoke about total turnover of alcohol at ANIIDCO. He also pointed out the I’ll effects of alcoholism on the school going children and young generation.
