Port  Blair, Feb 15: The team of Police Station Aberdeen has solved a blind hit & run case by making highly skilled investigation and arrested the driver of the vehicle namely Alex Dung Dung S/o Late Jagdish Dung Dung (23 yrs) R/o Dairy Farm.

In the road accident, which took place at Secretariat Junction on 07/02/2019 at night hours, one motor Cycle rider, going toward Prem Nagar was hit by an unknown car coming from the link road in a rash and negligent manner, leading to injuries to the body of the motorcycle rider.

After registration of the case SI SurjitBhattacharjee, HC/899 Regan Wagh, HC/583 JyothiAcharjee led by Insp. Sanjay Kumar, SHO PS Aberdeen visited the spot and a broken piece of a four-wheeler was collected from the spot. Upon inquiring from the vehicle showrooms in Port Blair, it was found to be a part of Honda Amaze.

Thereafter, the team collected details of all the Honda Amaze owners in Port Blair and conducted a discrete inquiry to identify the vehicle. The broken piece finally matched with one Honda Amaze vehicle bearing registration No. AN-01-N-4173which was being driven by Alex Dung DungS/o Late Jagdish Dung Dung (23 yrs) R/o Dairy Farm at the time of accident. He was apprehended and when put to sustained interrogation, admitted his crime.   

The entire operation took place under the direction of Insp. Sanjay Kumar, SHO PS Aberdeen and overall supervision of SDPO (SA) ShriNishant Gupta.
