Port Blair, Feb 22: Keeping its commitment of strict action against bootlegging and other illegal activities a series of raids were conducted within Municipal Areas from 19th to 22nd Feb. 2019. Total 13 cases were registered at Central Crime Station Under Excise Regulation and seized 56 Nos. 750 ml bottle of various brands of IMFL.
In this connection accused(s) person namely Bishnu Kr Thapa R/o Near Gandhi market, Mamidi Narayana R/o Dairy Farm, M. Kumar, R/o Haddo, A Santhosh Prasad R/o Buniyadabad, P. Kumar R/o Dignabad, S. Saravanan R/o Junglighat, Bishanu Kumar Thapa R/o Gandhi Market, Shahul Hameed R/o Garacharma, Jyoti Mani R/o Ranchi Basti, Ayyapan R/o Dairy Farm, Ansar Ali R/o Junglighat, K. Manikam R/o Junglighat & M. Krishnan R/o Machi Basti were arrested. Exclusively on 22.02.2019, 11 bootleggers were arrested in a series of raids.
The entire raids were conducted comprising the staff of Central Crime Station HCs K.N. Anandan, R.C. Mishra, Sanjay Kujur, Chandra Ram & PCs H.K. Yadav, Chandran, S. Baroi, Samresh Mistry, P.K. Mondal, Lathika Kumari, HG Meena Rani Sardar headed by Inspr. Mahesh Yadav, Station House Officer, PS Central Crime Station under the overall supervision of Shri George Lalu, DySP(CID).

Public have been requested to pass on credible information on narcotics substances, illegal sale of liquor, gambling or any illegal activity on the telephone numbers: 233307, 232586, 100, 9474233832 and 9476051686. The identity of the informant will be kept secret.
