Port Blair, March 20: M.V Makruzz Pearl, a 250 passenger capacity high speed catamaran ferry will be pressed into service on Saturday, 23rd of March, as per the following schedule. The schedule has been designed such that it increases connectivityto SwarajDweep (Havelock) and ShaheedDweep (Neil), and provides flexible timings for all Makruzz travellers.

MV Makruzz Pearl, IMO no. 9188879, built in Australia, is classed under the Indian Registrar of Shipping. With a length of 40.1 metres and draft of 1.30 metres, the vessel has a maximum speed of 30 knots, but will be cruise at a comfortable 20 knots. Much like its sister vessels, Pearl will be synonymous to plush interiors, gracious hospitality and panoramic views.

This is the third vessel in the fleet, making Makruzz the largest private fleet in the Andamans.

In a little less than a decade, the Makruzz ferries have ferried over a 1 million passengers across the Andaman Seas.
