Port Blair, March 22: Andaman and Nicobar Command (ANC) conducted a medical evacuation of 26 yrs female patient suffering from obstructed labour, out from Car Nicobar to Port Blair, on the intervening night of 21st and 22nd March 2019.
Reacting quickly to the request of medical evacuation, an Indian Air Force Dornier was immediately launched and the patient was safely brought to Port Blair by 01:20 AM. Subsequently, the patient was transferred to GB Pant Hospital for expert medical care. Andaman and Nicobar Command (ANC) had received a request for immediate medical evacuation close to midnight from the BJR Hospital, Car Nicobar.
