On the occasion of Fire Service Day on April 14th, let us pay homage to Fire Service personnel who have valiantly sacrified their lives in the line of duty and acknowledge the invaluable service rendered by them to the society by saving countless lives each year. The dedication with which Fire Service personnel strive to prevent loss of precious life and property is indeed appreciable.

On this day A & N Fire Service reaffirms its commitment in saving lives by fire fighting, spreading fire safety awareness and preventing fires. Fire Service plays pivotal role in disaster preparedness, disaster management and in administrating first aid as it is one of the first responders in any disaster or emergency.

I congratulate all the personnel of the A & N Fire Service for their commendable performance, I am confident that A & N Fire Service will continue to serve the people of A & N Islands with the same zeal and enthusiasm in the years ahead.
