Port Blair, April 16: As a part of celebration of “WORLD HOMOEOPATHY DAY” BJR Hospital and District Health Society, Car Nicobar jointly organized various activities in Car Nicobar Island. Homoeopathy Health and Awareness Camp were organized in different villages of Car Nicobar including Arong, Small Lapathy and Kinyuka. A Healthy Baby Show was organized in the Community Hall of Small Lapathy, Car Nicobar in which around 20 babies of the village participated.

The programme concluded with the valedictory function in the EOC Conference Hall at Car Nicobar on 10th April 2019. Dr. Monica Priyadharshini, Deputy Commissioner, Nicobar District, graced the occasion as Chief Guest. At the outset, Dr. Anwar Moosa, Medical Superintendent, BJR Hospital, Car Nicobar welcomed the gathering.

Dr. Kirtika Chander, GDMO (Homoeo), BJR Hospital gave a brief about the origin, history, basic theories and treatment principles of Homoeopathy.

The Chief Guest, Dr. Monica Priyadharshini, Deputy Commissioner, Car Nicobar commended the efforts of AYUSH for various activities and appealed to the people to adopt the principles of Homoeopathy in day-to-day life. The winners of the ‘Healthy Baby Show’ were awarded with cash prizes. 

The function ended with the vote of thanks by Dr. Ruth Christopher, Dental Surgeon, BJR Hospital. The programme was facilitated by Dr. Jolly Precilla, Medical Officer (RBSK).
