Port Blair, May 21: The Indira Gandhi National Open University, Regional Centre, Port Blair has activated the  Masters in Anthropology (MAAN) programme at Study Centre-0201, Port Blair for July 2013 academic session onwards. From the beginning i.e. July 2013 till date 19 students (12 Male students & 7 Female students) have taken admission in Anthropology programme.

The practicals, theory classes, field work and dissertation works have been conducted at the Anthropological Survey of India, Andaman & Nicobar Islands. Out of total 19 students, one of the students namely Shri. Muthu Pandi, having enrolment no.140040316, has successfully completed his Master degree in the year-2017 and got Degree Certificate. Having the Degree Certificate of MA Anthropology and hardworking, Shri. Muthu Pandi recently in mid April 2019 got appointment as a Senior Research Fellow (SRF) at Anthropological Survey of India, Regional Centre, Port Blair, Andaman & Nicobar Islands.
