Port Blair, June 18: The Tourism Department so far has registered 39 houses under ‘Andaman & Nicobar Bed & Breakfast/ Homestay’ scheme. Complaints have been received from various stakeholders that Homestay are running in unauthorised way, violating norms of ‘Andaman & Nicobar Bed & Breakfast/ Homestay’ scheme. All the registered ‘Andaman & Nicobar Bed & Breakfast/ Homestay’ owners are hereby advised to strictly follow the guidelines of the scheme under which they have been registered. Any violation and non compliance of the Guidelines will attract de-registration from the scheme.

All those interested in running a Bed & Breakfast & Home stay’ are hereby directed to comply with all the norms of the scheme and get duly registered before commencing operation failing which action would be initiated against them as per rule which includes disconnection of electricity & water connection. 

The incoming tourists as well as the Travel Agency/ Tour Operators are advised not to entertain any unregistered establishment and to visit DIP&T official website www.andamantourism.gov.in.
