Port Blair, June 20: In order to create awareness about the Celebration of the 5th International Day of Yoga, an Auto Rally along with mike announcement was carried out on 20th June 2019 at Bambooflat. The Rally was flagged off from CHC Bambooflat by Shri. Raj Kumar (Raja) President, Bharatiya Janata Auto Sangh in the presence of Dr.Jameela Banu CMO I/c and others.
After passing through several hamlets of Bambooflat, Valluvar Nagar, Shore-point, Hopetown, Stewertgunj, the Rally finally culminated at Bambooflat Jetty Bazar. Near about 30 Autos participated in the Rally. Dr.B.Bindu Kumar MO (AYUSH)/ Additional Member Secretary, RKS CHC Bambooflat, proposed vote of thanks to the members of Auto Association and informed the general public about the importance of daily Yoga practice in the management of various life style diseases and also informed about the Celebration of International Day of Yoga on 21st June 2019 at Community Hall, Shore Point Panchayat, Bambooflat, from 6.30 AM onwards. He also informed that there will be a Yoga Competitions in which cash prizes will be given to the winners. The following are the 1st Prize: Rs.1500/-, 2nd Prize: Rs.1000/-, 3rd Prize: Rs. 750/- and 3 consolation prizes @ Rs,250/-each.
