Port Blair, June 20: On 06/06/2019, a complaint was received at Police Station Aberdeen, Port Blair regarding missing of a 12 years old boy r/o Prem Nagar, Port Blair, who had been missing since 03/06/2019. Accordingly, a case was registered at PS Aberdeen and search operation was launched to track the missing child. On 07/06/2019, a call was received at 112(Emergency Response Support System) informing that a teenaged boy was sitting alone at Gandhi Park. Immediately, a team from PS Aberdeen rushed to Gandhi Park and located the teenager. During enquiry, the boy disclosed that he had run away from his house on 03/06/2019 because his father had scolded him regarding his studies. Later, the boy was handed over to his parents. The missing boy was recovered due to the efforts of an alert citizen who passed the information immediately to the 112 Control Room. 

The general public of Port Blair is appealed to utilise the services of Emergency Response Support System by dialling 112 for any emergency.
