Port Blair, June 24: The Department of Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs has constituted a UT Food Commission under National Food Security Act, 2013, and its meeting is being held once in every month. Accordingly, the Fair Price Shop Owners were directed to incorporate the details of UT Food Commission in their stock/price board for information of all the PDS beneficiaries. However, during routine inspections, it has been noted that apart from one or two, none of the FPS owners have incorporated the details of UT Food Commission in their stock/price board for the information of the ration card holders. 

Therefore, all the FPS owners of this UT have been once again directed to incorporate the details of UT Food Commission in their display board at the earliest in the prescribed format positively by 1st week of July, 2019. If any FPS owner is found not complying with the said directions, his/her FPS license is liable to be suspended after the stipulated time frame.
