Central Crime Station Arrests Drug Peddler with 110 Grams Ganja

Port Blair, July 10: Central Crime Station in its continuous efforts and crackdown against drug-paddlers & contraband in A&N Islands, has arrested one drug peddler. On 09/07/2019 a team comprising Inspr. Mahesh Kr. Yadav, ASI Vijay Shankar, Head constable P. Mustafa, Constable P. K. Mondal, K. Rajendran and Lathika Kumari conducted raid at Lal Pahar near to Don Bosco School and apprehended one person namely Sudev Mallick S/o Late Panchanan Mallick (42 yrs) R/o Lal Pahar Chouldari and recovered 110 grams Ganja from his possession. The ganja was seized on the spot and accused was arrested under the relevant sections of Narcotic Drug and Psychotropic Substances Act 1985. The entire raid was guided by Dy.SP(CID) Shri. George Lalu under the overall supervision of Shri. Manoj C, IPS, SP(CID). 

The Andaman & Nicobar Police is taking all possible steps in making these Islands free from anti social activity and keeping strict vigil over smuggling and proliferation of narcotics substance in these Islands. General Public has been requested to pass on credible information on narcotics substance, illegal sale of liquor, gambling or any illegal activity on the telephone numbers: 233307, 232586, 100, 9474233832, 9476051686 & 9531856294. The informer will be suitably rewarded and his/her identity will be kept secret.
