Port Blair, July 18: The Police Training School, Prothrapur, A&N Islands organized Two days course on “Human Trafficking and Laws relevant to deal with Children” on 09th & 10th July 2019 and one day course on “Duties and Responsibility of Beat officer” on 12th July 2019 for in-service Police Personnel of A&N Police for improving the knowledge about “Human Trafficking” and “Beat Duties” under the supervision of Shri. Manoj.C, IPS, Principal PTS. Altogether, 21 Police Personnel including beat officers of A&N Police participated in the course.

During the course, Shri. Michael Raj, DANIPS VP/PTS, Smt. Shanti Murugeshan, I/c One Stop Center, Port Blair, Mrs. Sampa Benarjee, member of UTCPCR, SI M. Elias PS CCS, SI Girish Kumar, PTS, SI  DK Seal, PTS, Inspr. SK Sarkar, PTS and SI T. Hemawathi, I/c Crime Against Women Cell had delivered informative lecture like Overview of Human Trafficking and identifying its area, Trafficking in India (Women and Girl Child)  how to prevent Human Trafficking in Society Provision under Indian Penal Code for the protection of  Children, Step towards child abuse prevention and creating safe school environment,  overview of beat system, Do’s & Don’t of Beat officer in Beat system, how to implement community policing through effective beat patrolling.

Vice Principal, PTS concluded the training programme by emphasizing on the objectives of the course and its thorough implementation during their duties. The course was coordinated by SI DK Seal, PTS, Prothrapur.
