Port Blair, July 22: In public programs attended by the Senior Police Officers, PRI members, Student Police cadets, tourist etc, Director General of Police A&N Police Shri. Dependra Pathak, IPS inaugurated the Tourist Police Kisoks at Radha Nagar Beach and Kalapathar Beach on 19th & 20th July 2019 respectively.

These Kiosks are part of the Tourist Police Ecosystem scheme which aims to make the visit of tourists to A&N Islands pleasant and safe.

In his welcome address Shri. Deepak Yadav, IPS Superintendent of Police, South Andaman District underlined the mandate, duties and responsibilities of the staff of tourist police kiosks.

Speaking on the occasion, the Director General of Police, Andaman & Nicobar Police, Shri. Dependra Pathak, IPS emphasized upon the need to have a setup of dedicated police personnel for the safety and security of tourists. He also urged people and tourists to make use of the services of Tourist Police & its helpline No. 155307. 

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks was proposed by Shri. Prasant Choudhary, DANIPS, SDPO (Swaraj Dweep). During the inaugural program, the Police Entertainment Team members presented a skit on tourist safety and police band played melodious tunes.
