Port Blair, Aug 18: The Directorate of Shipping Services endeavors to provide all possible facilities and services across the Islands for ease of living for its residents as well as visitors visiting these Islands. Towards such an attempt, the Directorate of Shipping Services has made operational its STARS ticketing counter at Shaheed Dweep with effect from Aug 15, 2019.

The requirement of STARS Ticketing counter at Shaheed Dweep was a long felt demand and now with the opening of STARS ticketing counter there, the residents as wells as visitors visiting Shaheed Dweep can purchase ship tickets of the Directorate vessels for all sectors, in advance, including mainland from the above ticketing counter.

The counter is presently being operationalised with Single Window, which shall however be upgraded suitably in future. All the residents, along with tourists visiting Shaheed Dweep have been requested to avail this facility to avoid inconvenience.
