Port Blair, Sept. 18: On 16th September 2019, a complaint was received at PS Aberdeen from Miss Ruksar Rasheed, D/o Shashi Kumar, R/o Junglighat against unknown accused person for committing theft of Gold ornaments worth Rs 2 Lakhs along with cash of Rs. 6000/by house breaking.

Upon this a case was registered under the relevant sections of IPC and immediately a special team led by SI Surjit Bhattacharjee, consisting of ASI Sanjay Yadav, PCs Suresh, Nanak Singh, Raja Rao and Ashish Mallick was constituted to crack the blind burglary case. The team swung into action and interrogated suspects/habitual offenders and deployed informers.

During the course of investigation, the team collected information and apprehended a juvenile in conflict with law. During the interrogation the juvenile confessed his guilt and revealed about his accomplice E. Ballaiah S/o Late E. Tata Rao 30 yrs R/o Dairy Farm, who was also arrested in connection with the instant case and the entire stolen property along with cash were recovered from their possession. The blind burglary case was cracked due to the relentless effort made by the South Andaman Police which led to 100% recovery. 

The entire operation took place in the direction of Inspector Sanjay Kumar, SHO PS Aberdeen under the supervision of Ms. Sandhya Swamy, IPS, SDPO, South Andaman and under the overall direction and supervision of Shri Manoj C., IPS, Superintendent of Police, South Andaman District. The general public is requested to share information pertaining to any crime or other illegal activities to Police at 112, 03192-232100 & 03192-233077. The identity of the informant will be kept secret.
