Port Blair, Oct. 17: Clinical Research Unit- Homoeopathy [CRU(H)], Port Blair, as a part of the observance of  Swachhta  Pakhwada 2019, organised  an  educational awareness  session on “Health and Hygiene” at  Ummat Public School , Middle point, today.  About 90 students of class VII and VIII participated along with the teachers in the event. Principal Ummat Public School, Mrs. Selvi welcomed the gathering.

Speaking on the occasion, Officer In-Charge CRU(H), Dr. Uttam Singh, explained  the importance of the Swachhta awareness programme and  various aspects of hygiene like personal, environmental hygiene etc.  A detailed interactive talk was given on the topic “Health & Hygiene” by Dr. Jiji Paul, JRF. Students participated with great zeal and enthusiasm during the interactive talk.  A quiz competition was also conducted after the talk on “Swachhta, Health & Hygiene” and the prizes were distributed to the winner students.  The session was informative for the students  and focused  on maintenance of good, hygienic  & clean environment  and making a clean and disease free India. Principal Mrs. Selvi, Ummat Public School proposed the vote of thanks and thanked Officers and staff of CRU (H) for conducting an  educational awareness session in the school. Dr. Uttam Singh, acknowledged the active, healthy  participation & cooperation from the staffs of the Ummat Public School in his concluding address. Clinical Research Unit- Homoeopathy operates under Central Council for Research in Homoeopathy, Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India.
