Port Blair, Dec 2: The Police Training School, Prothrapur, A&N Islands organized 02(two) days course on “A&N Fisheries Reg. 1938”, A&N Gambling Reg. 1951” and “Methods  of  Road  Traffic  Management  and  Accidental  Issues (MACT)” from

28-11-2019 to 29-11-2019 for in-service Police Personnel of A&N Police from the rank of constable to Inspector under the overall supervision of Smti. Usha Rangnani, IPS, Principal, Police Training School, Prothrapur. The main objective of the course was to inculcate awareness regarding the Law related to A&N Fisheries Reg. 1938”, A&N Gambling Reg. 1951” and “Methods of Road Traffic Management and Accidental Issues (MACT)”. During the course, Shri. Michael Raj, DANIPS Vice Principal, PTS, Inspr. Arjun Prasad, Traffic Branch, Inspr. Rasheeda, Genl. Section PHQ, Inspr. Abdul Sajid, CDI, PTS Prothrapur, SI M.A Rasheed, PS Aberdeen, SI S.K.Battacharya, PS Aberdeen and ASI Zaheer Abbas, Traffic Branch   delivered informative lectures on various topics like importance of Road Safety, Method of effective awareness, how to reduce road traffic accident and implement good traffic management system, an overview of MACT and role of Police Officers, an overview of A&N Fisheries Regulation 1938, important section of A&N Gambling Reg. 1951, demonstration class on procedure of house search and seizer memo and accident claim-(1) How to get Compensation under Motor Vehicle Act1988 (2)  what is fault liability and who can  claimants MACT. 

Altogether, 43 Police Personnel of various Police Stations/ Units of A&N Police participated in the course, Shri. Michael Raj, DANIPS Vice Principal, PTS, concluded the course by emphasizing on the objectives of the course and its implementation. The course was coordinated by SI Dilip Kumar Seal and SI Abdul Manaf, PTS Prothrapur under the supervision of Vice Principal, PTS.
