On the occasion of World Disabled Day which falls on 3rd December, 2019, I greet differently able lovable citizens of these Islands.  People with disabilities, especially children, must get right of entry to education and disabled friendly technology to get advantageous employment and lead a life of distinction and respect because only education can provide the differently able to be strong enough to face the world.  It is our foremost responsibility to give full empowerment of people with disabilities through specific schemes & programmes and hence facilities must be formulated particularly for the empowerment of children, women and senior citizens with disabilities as they need special consideration and this is necessary in order to bring them into the mainstream of society and improve the quality of their lives.  Although Government has taken a number of measures to methodically address the challenges that they face, we still have a lot to do to facilitate them in their daily lives. As per my information, there remain a good number of such especially children in these Islands.  It is high time that the government opens a separate school for the differently - able children with all the facilities.
