Port Blair, Dec 2: IGP (L&O) A&N Islands Shri Madhup Tewari, IPS Concluded his maiden visit to Nancowrie group of islands from 26th November to 29th November, 2019 and inspected all Police Stations, Fire Stations and Police Radio situated in Katchal, Teressa and Kamorta islands. He had also took stock of the requirements of various police units situated in these islands and also listened the grievances of the staff during the Sampark Sabhas conducted at these units.
IGP (L&O) appreciated and congratulated the police staff for the good work, they are doing in these remote islands. He also attended the Bada Khana cum Cultural Night at PS Nancowrie in which both police staff and civilians performed. He also planted a sapling at PS Nancowrie and reiterated the need to protect the pristine environment of these beautiful islands. SP Nicobar Shri Rajeev Kumar, IPS and DySP Ashok Vishnoi accompanied the IGP(L&O) during the visit.
