Port Blair, Dec. 6: IQRA Public School celebrated its Annual Day with unprecedented fanfare on 30th November 2019 at Mini Stadium, Wimberlygunj. A grand stage was setup with professional sound system. Shri. Kuldeep Rai Sharma, Hon'ble Member of Parliament and Shri. Suresh Kumar, Deputy Education Officer, WimberlyGunj graced the occasion as Chief Guest and Guest of Honour respectively. Both the guests expressed their appreciation for the laudable efforts of whole IQRA family.
The evening was also graced by other dignitaries of Andaman Sunni Muslim Jama'eth, local PRI's, parents and a large gathering of general public of the region. The students presented mesmerizing cultural events such as songs, dance, skits, speeches, etc. The tiny tots of Nursery section also presented various programmes. Senior students presented cultural programmes including skits on the theme of good habits, impacts of social media and secularism. Both the eminent guests gave away the prizes to the students who had excelled in various competitions held in our school and at zonal level. Earlier the School Head Girl V.K. Haseena welcomed the Chief Guest, guest of honour and others present to witness the programme. The Principal, IQRA Public School Smti. K. AshaJyothi highlighted the contributions of the school for the community and vowed to continue the good services. The vote of thanks was proposed by C.K. AneeshaBibi of class-X.
