Port Blair, Dec 6: With the thesis to eradicate the menace of illegal manufacture and sale of liquor from the society, the South Andaman District Police have been continuously making all possible efforts. During the relentless efforts by the team of Special Police Squad, recovered 62 bottles of company sealed IMFL.

On 06/12/2019, on receipt of credible information regarding illegal transportation of IMFL, the special police squad comprising SI M. A. Rasheed, ASI Surya Narayan & PC Santhose Kumar intercepted a four-wheeler at Junglighat and while checking 62 bottles of 750ml IMFL Company sealed was seized from the procession of P. Selvendran, 23 yrs R/o Nayashahar. Later the accused alongwith the seized IMFL & vehicle were handed over to PS Aberdeen for further legal action. 

The entire operation took place under Shri. Ajay Kumar Rai, DANIPS, SDPO South Andaman under the overall direction and supervision of Shri. Manoj C., IPS, Superintendent of Police, South Andaman District. The general public is requested to share information pertaining to any crime or other illegal activities to Police at 112, 03192-232100 & 03192-233077. The identity of the informant will be kept secret.
