Car Nicobar, Jan 19: As part of celebrations of Police Raising week from 16/01/2020 to 22/01/2020, the Nicobar district Police conducted Grand Finale of Nicobar Idol in dancing and singing on the evening of 17/01/2020 at BJR Stadium, Car Nicobar. The Chief Guest of the event Inspector General of Police, A & N Islands, Shri. Sanjay Kumar IPS, and Guest of Honour DIGP, A&N Islands Shri Vijay Singh. Dr. Monica Priyadarshini IAS, the Deputy Commissioner, Nicobars, Shri. Rajeev Kumar IPS, SP, Nicobars and other senior officials of Car Nicobar also graced the occasion.

The Nicobar Idol contest was held in both Dancing and Singing. The participants were selected after multiple rounds of auditions conducted in respective Police Stations of Nicobar District. The trophies of the Best Singer was awarded to Miss Gifty Lovelyn Joy of Malacca village and runner up trophy to Mr. Vipin Kumar of Mus village and the Best Dancer was awarded to Mr. Triumphant Adler of Small Lapathy and runner-up trophy to Miss Rizwi of Sawai village. 

The melodious voice of DIGP Shri Vijay Singh IPS enthralled the audience at BJR Stadium and they danced by heart on songs sung by him. The event was a mega hit among the locals and large number of public enjoyed the fun filled night.
