Yoga Cum Fitness Camp Conducted by Traffic Police
Port Blair, Jan 20: As part of the ongoing “Police Week-2020” from 16th to 23rd January, 2020, in consonance with the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi’s, ‘Fit India’ campaign, a yoga-cum-fitness camp was organised by A&NI Traffic Police at Joggers Park on 20-01-2020 at 0545 hrs. Shri. Dependra Pathak, IPS, DGP, A & N Islands was the chief guest at the function. Senior officers of A & N Police led by Shri.Dependra Pathak, DGP, A & N Islands actively participated in the programme.
Personnel from various Police units, IRBn and general public also actively participated in the programme. A push up competition was also organized as part of the programme.
Sh. Dependra Pathak, spoke about the importance of yoga in an individual’s life and encouraged all the present in the camp to perform yoga daily for a healthy life. He also spoke of the Hon’ble PM’s vision of Fit India and how the police personnel need to inculcate fitness in their life to serve the public better.
