Car Nicobar, Jan 28: To inculcate road safety awareness among the local tribals of car Nicobar, a mega drive to provide learner’s licence has been organized by Nicobar Police in assistance with Regional Transport Office, Car Nicobar and Medical officers of BJR Hospital on 24/01/2020. The local public turned out in large numbers to avail this opportunity, where under a single roof the blood grouping, eye testing, verification of certificates for driving licence  were all done in one go. 

The medical team of BJR Hospital, Car Nicobar comprised of by Dr. Johnson Jackson GDMO, Smti Vasanti, Optometrist and Shri. Christopher, Lab Attendant and the team of STA was headed by Shri Udaiyappan, Regional Transport Officer, Nicobar District assisted by Shri S.Shine MVI, Miss Elizabeth, Shri George Valentine and Shri Kartick Prasad. More than 200 people benefitted from this drive. Local public appreciated this initiative of Nicobar District Police which was organised by Insp. PK Abdul Arif, SHO PS Car Nicobar under the overall supervision of Shri. Rajeev Kumar,  Superintendent of Police, Nicobar District and Shri M Umar DySP(DHQ) Car Nicobar  who reiterated the commitment of A&N Police towards well being and safety of road users. 

The general public is requested to collect their learner’s licence from RTO, Car Nicobar from Monday (27/01/2020) onwards.
