Port Blair, Jan 28: In the intervening night of 25/01/2020, a complaint was received at PS Pahargaon from Shri Joy Gopal Majumder, R/o Dollygunj wherein he stated that in the intervening night 25th Jan, 2020, he alongwith his friend Kamal Nath went for a drive in late night hours and when they returned, they found that the back door of the house is broken and cash amount of Rs. 2,10,000/- approx is stolen from the Almirah.

Upon receiving the complaint, immediately a case vide No. FIR No.37/20 dt. 26/01/2020, U/s 457/380 IPC was registered at PS Pahargaon and Police team of PS Pahargaon headed by Inspr. Mahesh Yadav, SHO PS Pahargaon, ASI Radha Krishnan, PC/ Sudip and PC/ Rajesh reached the spot and started search of the accused.

Two suspects were picked up and jointly interrogated by the SHO PS Pahargaon, Inspr. Mahesh Yadav and team of PS Pahargaon and PS Aberdeen comprising of SI P. Jeevan, HC/Sunil Singh Yadav, PC/Suresh Kumar PC/Vinod Liniya, PC/S.N Rao and LPC/Kajoli Mondal.

In the short while the 2 accused broke down and confessed their guilt and subsequently disclosed their name as G. Suriya and Kamalnath both R/o Buniyadabad and the stolen amount of Rs. 1,50,125/- (Rupees One lakh Fifty thousand one hundred twenty five) was recovered and seized.

Later, accused persons will be produced before the Hon’ble Court.

Thus, again the PS Pahargaon and Aberdeen staff succeeded in solving a crucial case in a record time due to their sincere efforts under the close supervision of ASP Sandhya Swami, IPS, SDPO South Andaman and overall supervision of SP(D) South Andaman, Shri Manoj. C, IPS.
