Port Blair, March 28: Three more positive cases of COVID-19 has been tested positive in the Andaman & Nicobar Islands today evening, totalling the number to nine. It all started with a group of seven people who had travelled to New Delhi via Vizag and had returned on the 24th March 2020.
The rapid increase in the number of cases calls for utmost precaution in the Islands. More details on the case is awaited.
Meanwhile the general public of Andaman & Nicobar Islands are requested to stay at home. The Administration after the Hon’ble High Court’s intervention has ordered opening of most of the shops to deliver essentials and daily requirements to the general public on door delivery basis. There are some hurdles in the door delivery of the goods but is expected to smoothen very soon. Please stay at home and respect the Lockdown call made by the Hon’ble Prime Minister.
