Adazig, May 12: Under Door Step Banking services, the Andaman and Nicobar State Cooperative Bank Ltd, (ANSCB Ltd) launched another unit in Adazig, Baratang on 10th May, 2013 as per the Financial Inclusion Initiative (FII) of RBI by Shri Bhagat Singh, Chairman, A & N State Coop. Bank Ltd.
Speaking on the occasion, Singh exhorted villagers to avail benefits from the USB and various schemes launched by the Bank for the people of these Islands. He said efforts are on to reach the poorest of poor and deliver the banking facility as per the decision taken by the Government of India.
Further, he told after the implementation of Core Banking Services (CBS) project, an ATM services of the Bank will be started soon.
With this, the ANSCB Ltd. opened the 7th USB so far and mobilized considerable amount of deposit from the general public. , Shri T Subramanian, DGM, A & N SCB welcomed the gathering.
The programme was attended by Shri G Kurma Rao, Zilla Parishad Member, Shri Biju Gurudasan, Pradhan, Smti Somari Roy, Pradhan, government officers, villagers and dignitaries. Shri Zakarious Kiro, Branch Manager offered vote of thanks.
