Imphal, December 05 2013: Even as Kerala riders continued to dominate the National Track Cycling Championship for the 66th Senior, 43rd Junior and 29th Sub Junior competitions with the addition to three more gold medals to its overall tally, Andaman and Nicobar Island's Deborah put up a sterling performance to break the decades old national record of Manipur's Ch Rameshwori on the second day of the championship at Khuman Lampak Velodrome today.

While Rameshwori set the 500 metres individual time trial at 39.244 seconds in the 2001 Ludhiana National Games, Deborah today took 38.097 seconds to cover the distance ahead of Kerala duo Kezia Varghese (2nd) and Lidiyamol M Sunny in elite women's final.

Deborah also won the junior women's 500 mtr individual time trial with a national record of 37.908 seconds as Manipur riders H Bedana Devi and RK Abe Devi settled for silver and bronze respectively.

Manipur's gold tally remained static at two and had to content with one silver and three bronze medals today.

On the otherhand, title contenders Kerala today added five medals including three gold and two silvers to take its tally to eight gold, four silver and one bronze.
