Car Nicobar, May 25: A karate classes for girl students of Car Nicobar was organised by the district police Car Nicobar for a week starting from 14th – 20th May 2015. Altogether 50 girl students from different villages participated in the training and got benefitted. LPC R. Vijaylaxmi as instructor from Police Training School, Prothrapur, Port Blair imparted the training. The main objective of the training was to create confidence, self-defence and self-discipline among the girls. By the training spirit of “I Can Do It” high level of confidence amongst the furls develops.
In a concluding function at BJR Stadium Auditorium, Tamaloo, Captains, dignitaries and parents also witnessed the basic drill and demonstration on self defence presented by the girls which was highly appreciated by the invitees. The entire programme was conducted under the supervision of SP, Nicobar District, Smti Geera Rani Verma, IPS and DySP N. Rasheed (DHQ), Car Nicobar.
