Port Blair, July 28: The PCC President Kuldeep Rai Sharma along with a delegation of Fibre Boat operators of Baratang called on the Chief Secretary Anand Prakash today and submitted that after 31^st July 2015, due to non availability of IRS certificates these operators cannot operator their boats.  Kuldeep stated that these operators are in hand to mouth condition and if they don’t be allowed to operate their boats after 31^st July, 2015, their family members will be stranded, when many of these operators who have taken loan from Banks for purchasing of boats have also  the burden of paying recurring interest to bank . Kuldeep has thus asked for extension of time upto 31^st March, 2016 for plying their boats so that they may be able to earn their livelihood during the tourist season The Chief Secretary has given patient hearing and assured to look into the matter.
