Port Blair, Oct. 8: On 6th of Oct. 2015 on receipt of information from reliable sources regarding gambling at Prem Nagar near Children Park, The South Andaman District Team raided the place and apprehended seven persons namely Karan Singh (20) yrs, (2) Rahul (24) yrs, (3) Gopi (25) yrs (4) Deep Singh (24) yrs, (5) Shiv Kumar (21) yrs, (6) Adi Narayan (35) yrs, (7) Deepak (25) yrs all R/o Prem Nagar and recovered Rs.10,775/- cash including board money Rs. 3775/- and other incriminating articles. All of them have been booked under A & N Islands Gambling Regulation, 1951 at PS Aberdeen.
Similarly on 07.10.15 another raid was conducted at Brookshabad near Hanuman Temple by the Police Team of P.S.Pahargaon and raided the place and apprehended four persons namely Panidan Munda (32) yrs, R/o Brookshabad (2) B.Rama Rao (36) yrs, R/o Wright Myo Bambooflat, (3) L.Gopi (41) yrs, R/o Brookshabad and (4) Kuldeep Toppo (38) yrs, R/o Haddo and recovered cash Rs. 420/- including board money Rs. 5720/- and other incriminating articles. All of them have been booked under A & N Islands Gambling Regulation, 1951 at PS Pahargaon.
