Aberdeen Police Arrest 20 Persons for Selling Illicit Liquor and Consumption of Narcotic Drugs

Port Blair, Nov. 14: In continuation of the drive to curb down the menace of illegal sale of illicit liquor and usage of narcotic drugs, the police station Aberdeen special team has made all possible efforts in their concerned jurisdiction.

During their relentless efforts on 12/11/2018, the team arrested 20 persons from various localities for selling and consuming of illicit liquor and narcotic drugs under appropriate section of law. The raiding team has been working under the leadership of SI SurjitBhattacharjeealong with HC Hentho, PC Suresh, PC Shiv Kumar, PC Ashok Kumar, PC Jayanto Kr. Biswas, PC Manoj Kumar Yadav and PC VinodLyniawith overall guidance of Insp. A.K Singh, SHO PS Aberdeen.

The arrested persons were produced before the Hon’bleCourt for further legal action against them.

The entire raids took place under the supervision of SDPO South Andaman Shri. Nishant Gupta and under the overall supervision of the Senior Superintendent of Police, South Andaman District Shri. Vijay Singh, IPS. 

The public is requested to share information about illegal sailing of illicit liquor and narcotic drugs with Police in full confidence so that such anti-social elements are brought to justice and may pass such information to 03192-232100, 03192-232400, 03192-232405 & 9434288673. The identity of the informant will be kept secret.
