Port Blair, April 30: The general public are informed that Nayagaon Common Service Centre (eDweep Kendra) has been cancelled/terminated with immediate effect. The general public may approach any other eDweep Kendras (viz., Haddo, Delanipur, Gandhi Market, Aberdeen Village, Junglighat, Shadipur, Dairy Farm, Minnie Bay) for availing Government services and for payment of electricity bill. An alternate CSC at Corbyn's Chowk is being contemplated.

It has been informed by the Shipping Corporation of India Ltd., Kolkata that due to administrative reasons the vessel MV Nancowry (under voyage No. 1011) may not be able to sail from Kolkata to Port Blair on 01.05.2013. However, the vessel is expected to sail from Kolkata to Port Blair on 06.05.2013 instead of 01.05.2013. As a result, the vessel MV Nancowry may not be able to maintain the announced schedule from Port Blair to Vizag and back under voyage No. 1012 & 1013 on 07.05.2013 & 11.05.2013 respectively. To facilitate the passengers of MV Nancowry for Vizag & back (under voyage No. 1012 & 1013) the Directorate of Shipping Services is planning to schedule MV Akbar in place of MV Nancowry for Vizag on 07.05.2013 and Vizag to Port Blair on 11.05.2013. 

The passengers of MV Nancowry those who are holding the tickets for Vizag and back under voyage No. 1012 & 1013 are requested to reschedule their present tickets and to obtain fresh tickets of MV Akbar from STARS Ticketing Counters, Phoenix Bay between  01.05.2013 & 02.05.2013. Similarly balance tickets for the above sailing will be issued to the general public from 03.05.2013 onwards at STARS ticketing counters. The passengers of MV Nancowry those who are holding the tickets for Vizag and back under voyage No. 1012 & 1013 are requested to reschedule their present tickets and to obtain fresh tickets of MV Akbar from STARS Ticketing Counters, Phoenix Bay between 01.05.2013 & 02.05.2013. Similarly balance tickets for the above sailing will be issued to the general public from 03.05.2013 onwards at STARS Ticketing Counters.

Port Blair, April 30: The Lt Governor, Lt Gen (Retd) Bhopinder Singh has sanctioned one lakh fifty thousand rupees as ex-gratia relief from LG’s Relief Fund to the next of kin of deceased Basudev Mondal who died on 23rd April 2013, in the Panchawati area in an accident. The deceased has left behind his wife and two sons and the elder son is mentally challenged. The Deputy Commissioner (N&M Andaman) has requested for sanctioning the amount as the financial condition of the family is very poor.

Meanwhile an amount of fifty thousand rupees has been sanctioned to Master Jitish Mistry, aged 6 yrs, S/o Shri Paritosh Mistry, R/o Diglipur, who has been suffering from Congenital Disease-Ostrum Secondum Arterial Septal Defect with left to right shunt. The patient requires surgical/umbrella closure of the defect. Considering the poor financial condition of Master Jitish Mistry and based on the report of Director (Health Services) and Deputy Commissioner (N&M Andaman), the Lt. Governor has sanctioned the relief amount.
